Published on August 6, 2019, Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho's recent trip to the US has been filled with a mix of official business and celebrity encounters.
According to the Governor's itinerary, he travelled to Washington DC to attend business meetings with different investors, with the aim of forming partnerships.
However, it appears that Joho also took some time off to socialize with international celebrities, including American socialite Paris Hilton.
Photos and videos shared on social media show Joho and Hilton together, with the Governor looking relaxed in a yellow print shirt and black jeans, while Hilton wore a purple print thigh-length dress and sunglasses.
Also spotted in the company of Joho and Hilton was Tanzanian singer Ommy Dimpoz.
While Joho's entourage seemed to be dazzled by Hilton's presence, the Governor's Director of Communication and Public Relations, Richard Chacha, clarified that the Governor was entitled to 30 off days, which he had never utilized since taking office.
Chacha also stated that Joho was set to return to Kenya anytime that week.
It's worth noting that this is not the first time Joho has been spotted in the company of Hollywood superstars. In 2016, he met up with rap star Fat Joe in Dubai, and was also rumoured to have played a major role in Chris Brown's concert in Mombasa in October 2016, which reportedly cost Sh90 million.
