Nairobi, Kenya - Safaricom is set to expand its Home Fibre service to over 15,000 homes in the next two months, building on its existing network of over 300,000 homes across the country.
The service, which has seen remarkable growth driven by demand for unlimited entertainment, working from home, and home security, currently has over 107,000 customers connected in major towns including Nairobi, Mombasa, Eldoret, Kisumu, Nakuru, Nyeri, and Thika.
"This has been a new experience for most of our customers," said Michael Joseph, Chief Executive Officer, Safaricom. "We continue to record remarkable growth driven by demand for unlimited entertainment, working at home, home CCTV among other emerging customer needs."
As part of its expansion plans, Safaricom will offer a 50% discount to all new Home Fibre customers in August and September, aiming to appeal to prospective clients.
