Francis Atwoli, the Central Organisation of Trade Unions (COTU) boss, has been married to Mary Kilobi since 2018. However, his recent comments on KTN's Check Point, where he expressed admiration for presenter Sophia Wanuna, have raised eyebrows.
Atwoli told Wanuna, 'I listen to you, Sophia. I am your fan in particular; you as Sophia. Let me tell you: I listen to you carefully.'
Wanuna's co-worker Mary Kilobi, who is Atwoli's wife, recently spoke out about their marriage, saying she doesn't care about the 35-year age gap between them. Kilobi also expressed her love for Atwoli, stating, 'I love Atwoli. He is a caring man, who is always there for me. Given another chance, I will still fall in love with him.'
Atwoli has denied claims that he snatched Kilobi from a Bungoma businessman, Jack Wanami Wamboka, who was claiming online that Atwoli 'broke my marriage.'
Atwoli explained that he had sent emissaries to confirm Kilobi's marital status before marrying her, and was given the green light to do so.
