Maureen Waititu, a well-known Kenyan vlogger, has secured a new hosting gig with Rembo TV, a StarTimes channel that made its debut on Monday, August 5, 2019.
Rembo TV, a new channel targeting female audiences, aims to provide a platform for remarkable mothers to share their stories and experiences. The channel will focus on reality TV shows, mental health, self-esteem, and other topics relevant to women.
Maureen Waititu expressed her excitement about the new opportunity, stating, "Guys, I am so happy to share with you marvelous news and a prayer answered! This is my short story. Ever since I was a little girl, I have always dreamt of hosting a TV show that makes a difference. And the opportunity finally came via @rembo__tv a station with content specifically targeting women, but men are always welcome!"
Rembo TV has partnered with over 30 Kenyan content developers to ensure the success of the new station. The channel will be available in three East African countries: Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda.
During the launch of Rembo TV, KFCB CEO Ezekiel Mutua praised the new channel, saying, "Television continues to be a strong medium through which information, entertainment, and education is pushed across diverse audiences. I am therefore impressed to see the introduction of a channel specifically targeting female audiences."
