Published on August 6, 2019, Kenya Film and Classification Board boss Ezekiel Mutua has weighed in on the public spat between Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko and Suba North MP Millie Odhiambo on social media.

The feud started when Sonko claimed that the late Kibra MP Ken Okoth had a second wife and a son, sparking a heated exchange between the two leaders on Facebook.

Mutua has condemned the use of abusive language by the two leaders, stating that it is harmful to society and contributes to moral decay.

‘‘What are we telling our children when leaders are busy abusing each other?... but we have a robust media monitoring lets follow what goes on but if it continues the we shall raise a red flag over the two leaders…media help so this don’t air any of this contents.’’Mutua stated.

Mutua has threatened to raise a red flag over the two leaders if the abuse continues, and has called on the media to refrain from airing the content.
