On July 31, 2019, a heated incident occurred at the Kenya Cultural Centre along Harry Thuku Road in Nairobi. According to reports, Samuel Muli Mutuku pushed Edwin Gichangi against a wall and used abusive language, including saying “useless man”, “I don’t fear you”, “Utakipata”, and “Nitakuua”.
Mr. Muli was subsequently arraigned in a Nairobi court on Monday, charged with creating a disturbance in a manner likely to cause a breach of peace, contrary to the Laws of Kenya.
During the court proceedings, Mr. Muli pleaded not guilty to the charges. He was released on a cash bail of KES 5,000 by Chief Magistrate Francis Andayi.
The matter will be mentioned in court again on September 18, 2019.
