A report emerged that Bahati was considering ditching his record label EMB for Wasafi Classic, owned by Diamond Platnumz.
However, in an interview at Milele FM, Bahati clarified that his relationship with Wasafi is purely for business purposes, and he is still a gospel artist.
He revealed that he earns a significant amount from Diamond, who runs one of the most successful labels in the region.
"Mimi kuenda Wasafi, of course, is for the business relationship and you know with no doubt, Wasafi is one of the most successful record labels in Africa. Na kuwa rafiki na mtu kama Diamond you learn a lot and nikitoka hapa niende Tanzania, I just go to chill and I listen," said Bahati.
He also attributed his recent changes to advice from Diamond, stating that the Wasafi boss had advised him on various aspects of the music industry, including running a record label.
