Criminal Gang Attack in Bamburi, Mombasa Leaves 13 Injured

Published on August 6, 2019, a violent attack by a gang known as the 'Wakali Kwanza gang' left 13 residents injured in Bamburi, Mombasa.

The incident occurred at around 8:30 PM in Kisauni constituency, with 13 locals being referred to Coast General Hospital after receiving first aid.

Four of the injured are in critical condition, but a state of normalcy has been restored following reassurances from Mombasa County Commander Evans Achoki on heightened security measures.

A multi-agency taskforce has been deployed to deal with the incident, led by Mombasa Police Boss Johnstone Ipara.
