On Monday, Liverpool confirmed that Belgian goalkeeper Simon Mignolet has joined Club Brugge in a transfer deal. The exact fee was not disclosed.
Mignolet spent six years at Anfield, making over 200 appearances in all competitions. He was part of the Liverpool squad that won the Champions League title last season.
However, the 31-year-old's time at Liverpool was marked by a decline in playing time. After 22 appearances in the 2017-18 season, he was restricted to just two games last season, behind Alisson in the pecking order.
Club Brugge announced on Sunday that Mignolet had agreed a five-year deal with the Belgian side. Mignolet began his career at STVV before moving to Sunderland in 2010 and eventually joining Liverpool in 2013.
