On August 3, 2019, a 79-year-old woman was allegedly raped by John Njogu in Ligogo area, Nakuru North Sub-County, Nakuru County.
Njogu appeared before Nakuru Chief Magistrate Elizabeth Usui on Monday to take plea and denied the charges.
He also appealed to the court to release him on a reasonable bail term.
Magistrate Usui released him on a bond of Sh300, 000 with a surety of similar amount.
The case will be mentioned on August 19 and heard on September 30.
Njogu was arrested on August 4 and has been in custody at Bahati Police Station since then.
