Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has called on President Uhuru Kenyatta to intervene and help revive the struggling flower farms, which were once a major source of employment in the town.

He also called on politicians to focus on delivering their campaign promises rather than engaging in early campaigning.
Naivasha Jubilee Party Chairman James Karimi echoed Sonko's sentiments, saying that the sacking of workers in flower farms had had a significant impact on the region and that urgent action was needed from the government.
