Gospel singer Pitson is facing a challenging period after being advised by doctors to stop singing for two months.
According to Pitson, he visited a doctor after experiencing difficulties in singing, and was told that he would not be able to sing for the next two months due to damaged vocal cords.
Doctors attributed the damage to overworking his throat, which has caused strain on his vocal cords.
Pitson, who owns a sound company called Pitsounds, has been singing since his Sunday school days and has honed his skills while in high school and at Jomo Kenyatta University, where he studied commerce.
He is currently working on a song called 'Turudishie', which he hopes to release in mid-August. The song is a plea to God to redeem the gospel industry, which Pitson believes has strayed from its core values.
As a songwriter, Pitson has also been instrumental in creating hits for other artists, including Daddy Owen, Mercy Masika, and Size 8.
Despite his passion for music, Pitson is finding it difficult to stay away from the studio, as singing is his primary source of income.
He is, however, hopeful that he will recover soon and return to doing what he loves.
