Published on August 5, 2019, gospel singer Pitson has been advised to keep off singing for the next few months after his voice developed complications.
According to Pitson, doctors advised him to avoid singing for the next couple of months due to damage to his voice.
‘I went to see a doctor after I was unable to sing and they said I am not going to sing for the next two months because my voice is damaged,’ Pitson said.
Doctors attributed the damage to Pitson's overworking of his throat, which has caused him to experience voice strain.
As a result, Pitson has been advised to drink plenty of water and rest a lot to aid in his recovery.
With his livelihood depending on his music, Pitson finds it challenging to stay away from the studio, saying, ‘It is really difficult for me because singing is what I do for a living, and staying away from the studio sounds very boring to me.’
Before his voice damage, Pitson had recorded a song titled ‘Turudishie ‘, which he plans to release in the middle of August.
The song seeks God's redemption of the gospel industry, which Pitson believes has strayed from its core values.
Voice damage is a common problem affecting many musicians, including Ommy Dimpoz and Tekno, who have both experienced similar issues in the past.
