Published on August 5, 2019, Safaricom has launched an aggressive campaign to grow its Home Fibre service in Kenya.
The company is offering a 50% discount on its Home Fibre service for new customers in Kenya for the next two months, August and September.
According to Michael Joseph, Acting CEO of Safaricom, the discount is designed to appeal to customers who want to try out the service. He noted that the company has recorded remarkable growth in demand for unlimited entertainment, working from home, and home CCTV among other emerging customer needs.
Customers can qualify for the offer by dialing 400# and choosing 'Get Safaricom Home Fibre'. The Bronze package will entitle customers to a one-month half-price offer, while new customers on the Silver, Gold, and Diamond packages will enjoy two months at the 50% off pricing.
As part of its expansion plans, Safaricom aims to extend its fibre coverage to more than 15,000 additional homes across the country over the next two months. The service will be rolled out to areas such as parts of Kisumu and Thika, Kizingo in Mombasa, and Kinoo, Komarock, and Ruaka in Nairobi.
The service currently reaches more than 300,000 homes across the country, with over 107,000 customers connected across Nairobi, Mombasa, Eldoret, Kisumu, Nakuru, Nyeri, and Thika.
