On August 5, 2019, the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE) experienced a system glitch that delayed trading by two hours.

Normally, the market opens at 9:00 am, but on this day, trading commenced at 11:30 am.

The technical issue may necessitate an extension of the trading window by two hours beyond the usual closing time.
