Sebastien Migne Defiant After Harambee Stars' CHAN Qualifier Defeat ¶

Kenya's Harambee Stars coach Sebastien Migne has dismissed calls for his resignation following the team's defeat to Tanzania in the 2020 CHAN qualifiers.
On August 4, 2019, Harambee Stars played out a goalless draw against Tanzania at Kasarani Stadium, but ultimately lost 4-1 in the penalty shootout.
Despite the team's poor performance, Migne insisted that he has done a good job, citing his role in ending Kenya's 15-year absence at the African Cup of Nations.
Speaking after the match, Migne stated, 'I honestly gave my best and gave fans an opportunity to dream with the AFCON qualification.'
He also expressed concerns about his salary, stating that it would be difficult to pay the remainder of his contract if he were to be sacked.
Migne was appointed as the new coach of Kenya's national team in May 2018, replacing Belgian Paul Put who stepped down from his role for personal reasons.
At the time, the 45-year-old had also quit as coach of Congo Brazzaville after a year in charge of the Red Devils.
With the team now facing Sudan in the next and final qualifying round of the tournament, fans are still calling for Migne's sacking.
