Kenyan gospel singer Pitson has been ordered by a doctor to take a two-month break from singing after a recent medical check-up revealed damage to his vocal cords.

According to Pitson, the doctor's visit was prompted by his inability to sing, and the diagnosis has left him with a difficult decision: to stop singing for the next two months.

"I went to see a doctor after I was unable to sing and they said I am not going to sing for the next two months because my voice is damaged," Pitson revealed.

As a singer who relies on his voice for a living, Pitson is finding it challenging to cope with the doctor's orders. "It is really difficult for me because singing is what I do for a living, and staying away from the studio sounds very boring to me," he said.

Pitson believes that his lack of prayer and integrity may have contributed to his vocal cord damage, and is now taking steps to address these issues.

This is not the first time a singer has been advised to take a break from singing due to vocal cord damage. Last year, Nigerian star Tekno Miles was also ordered to take a musical hiatus to recover from a similar condition.

"These past few days have been really trying times for your boy Tekno. He had tried to downplay the severity of his ailment hoping that it will be short lived but after further diagnoses doctor advised he should take time out to recover," Tekno's management said at the time.
