Published on August 5, 2019, gospel sensation Bahati has been visiting Wasafi Records frequently, sparking rumors of a potential switch from his own EMB Records to Diamond Platnumz's WCB.

However, in an interview with Milele Breakfast, Bahati clarified his intentions, stating that his visits to WCB are strictly for business purposes and to learn from the top East African record label.

"Mimi kuenda Wasafi of course is for the business relationship and you know with no doubt, Wasafi is one of the most successful record labels in Africa," Bahati said.

He added that his close relationship with Diamond Platnumz has been instrumental in his growth as an artist, citing the Tanzanian musician as one of his biggest influences.

Bahati has been making frequent trips to Tanzania, having worked with several Wasafi artists, including Rayvanny, Mbosso, and Aslay.

He also performed at the 707 Great Gatsby event in July, alongside other Kenyan artists.
