DP Ruto Calls for End to Dirty Politics, Disbandment of Tangatanga and Kieleweke Factions ¶
Naibu Rais William Ruto has called for an end to dirty politics and the disbandment of Tangatanga and Kieleweke factions in the Jubilee Party.
Speaking at the St Mary's Catholic Church in Kiharu, Murang'a County on August 4, 2019, Ruto said that Wakenya are looking forward to a better life through the implementation of the Jubilee Party's manifesto, which is led by President Uhuru Kenyatta.
He emphasized that leaders must come together and work as one to achieve this goal.
"Tuna ajenda moja; ile ya kuibadilisha nchi hii kupitia Ajenda Nne Kuu, inayoongozwa na Rais Uhuru Kenyatta," Ruto said.
He added that leaders must unite and work together to achieve the party's goals.
"Sitaruhusu miradi ya chama kupuuzwa; Nitawakusanya viongozi wa Jubilee na kuhakikisha tunaenda mbele katika mkondo mmoja," Ruto said.
He also called on leaders to put aside their differences and work together for the good of the party and the country.
On the issue of party nominations, the leaders present at the meeting spoke in one voice, saying they would not support any campaigns that would lead to the creation of more positions for a few individuals who were left out through the nominations.
Those present at the meeting included MPs Ndindi Nyoro (Kiharu), Rigathi Gachagua (Mathira), Purity Ngirici (Women Representative, Kirinyaga), James Gakuya (Embakasi North) and Mary Waithira (Maragua).
Others included Alice Wahome (Kandara), Faith Gitau (Women Representative, Nyandarua), Githiaka Kiai (Mukurweini), Geoffrey King'ang'i (Mbeere South) and Mwangi Gichuhi (Tetu).
Naibu Rais Ruto also emphasized that he would continue to lead the implementation of the Jubilee Party's manifesto across the country to ensure the good reputation of President Kenyatta.
