On August 3, 2019, a group of graffiti artists from Kibra, led by Ish Artlives, the founding member of 8town Crew, embarked on a project to honour the late Kibra MP, Ken Okoth, who had passed away on July 27, 2019, at Nairobi Hospital.
According to Ish Artlives, Ken Okoth was a strong supporter of his people in Kibra, especially the youth, and the crew thought the best way to honour him was to create a graffiti mural in his memory.
After scouting for a suitable location, the crew settled on the DC stage in Kibra and enlisted the help of Detail 7, another talented graffiti artist, to collaborate on the project.
Detail 7, who was approached by Ish Artlives to work on the mural, expressed his enthusiasm for the project, saying, "I liked Ken Okoth and when Ish Artlives shared the idea I immediately said yes. Ken was a great man and honouring him was an honor."

After five hours of hard work, the crew completed the mural, which featured the smiling face of the late MP, and it was unveiled on a wall at the DC stage, where it will be visible to thousands of people who pass by or board the matatu at the stage.
