Manchester City won a thrilling match against Liverpool, securing a 5-4 victory in a penalty shootout after the match ended 1-1 after 90 minutes.

Raheem Sterling scored for Manchester City in the first half, while Joel Matip equalized for Liverpool 12 minutes from time, sending the match into a penalty shootout.

Georginio Wijnaldum missed his spot-kick, allowing Gabriel Jesus to score the deciding penalty and give Manchester City the win.

Earlier in the match, Liverpool had several chances, including a shot from Mohamed Salah that was cleared from the goal-line by Kyle Walker in the 92nd minute.

Both teams had their share of chances, but it was Manchester City who emerged victorious in the end.
