On a thrilling Sunday, August 4, 2019, Tanzania's Taifa Stars secured their spot in the next round of the Africa Nations Championship after a stunning 4-1 victory over Kenya in a penalty shootout at Kasarani Stadium.

Having drawn 0-0 in the reverse fixture in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania, both teams were evenly matched, but Kenya's failure to capitalize on home support and bury the game early ultimately led to their downfall.

Kenya dominated the match, but their inability to convert chances into goals proved costly, with Whyvonne Isuza squandering a golden opportunity in the 77th minute.

Sebastien Migne's men were left to rue their missed chances as they were forced into a penalty shootout, which Tanzania ultimately won.
