What You'll Need ¶
- 10-12 chicken drumsticks
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1/2 teaspoon curry powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic ginger paste
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 1 kg sweet potatoes, peeled and cut into fry shapes
- 1 litre oil for frying
- Salt to taste
For the Batter ¶
- 1 cup flour
- 3/4 cup water
- 1/4 cup vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
How to Make It ¶
- Marinate the chicken drumsticks in a mixture of black pepper, garlic ginger paste, turmeric powder, and lemon juice for about an hour.
- Deep-fry the marinated chicken in a pan over medium heat until cooked through.
- Prepare the batter by whisking together flour, turmeric, paprika, salt, vinegar, and water.
- Remove the chicken from the heat and let it cool before pouring the chicken gravy into the batter mixture.
- Dip the chicken into the batter and deep-fry until golden brown.
- Use the same oil to fry the sweet potato chips until crispy.
