'It is not a commodity!' Kamene Goro calls out creepy men

On August 4, 2019, Kamene Goro took to her Instagram page to share her thoughts on the commoditization of women, after a man offered her $1 million to sleep with him.

She began by sharing the DM she received from the man, who claimed that it would cost $1 million to 'F Me like crazy, and have me and my precious flower travel the world with him.'

Thoughts of 'JESUS THAT IS A LOT OF MONEY!' and 'HOLY SMOKES! IS THAT MY PRICE?' ran through her mind, but she was more perturbed by the man's assumption that she would trade her integrity, dignity, and accountability for a mere $1 million.

'You see the liberty of having your Integrity at 100%,' she wrote. 'Dignity at 100%. Full accountability, A life with no Skeletons, Full honesty and disclosure, To be able to travel this world, and walk into malls, knowing this is All Me.'

She questioned when women started being commoditized and put a price on their bodies, and how this narrative can be propagated amongst themselves.

'SHETANI ASHINDWE! Ladies, Honey, BABE!!! A cheque and a Flight? A cheque and a Flight? Come here, Let me slap you,' she exclaimed.

She emphasized that women are not commodities and should not be traded for anything other than their purpose. 'Let nobody ever make you think that it can be exchanged for anything other than it’s purpose! Period!'

She concluded by urging women to have a deep moment of introspection and see their full worth, and not to sell themselves short for the sake of the rat race.
