On August 4, 2019, the Miss Uganda finals took an unexpected turn when Zari, a Tanzanian businesswoman, got into a heated argument with the hostess, TV presenter Anita Fabiola.
According to eyewitnesses, Zari demanded that Fabiola present the winner, handing her the papers in the process. Before that, Zari declared herself 'The Boss Lady' and claimed to have an assistant to handle such tasks.
It's worth noting that Zari and Fabiola have a history of rivalry, dating back to when Fabiola's friend, Tanzanian model Hamisa Mobetto, was involved in a scandal with Diamond Platnumz, a Kenyan musician.
While Zari's behavior may have painted her in a bad light, Fabiola's calmness during the incident earned her praise from fans.
