On Friday, detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) made a significant arrest in the fight against car theft. A Kenya Defense Forces (KDF) officer, identified as Corporal Nicholas Kemboi, was apprehended in Kabete, Kiambu County.
According to the DCI, Kemboi was found in possession of a stolen motor vehicle, which had already undergone modifications to change its color and registration number.
His accomplice, Eric Oduor, also a KDF officer, was arrested and released on bond after being charged in court on Friday.
Corporal Kemboi is set to be arraigned in court on Monday to face charges of stealing a car contrary to Section 278A of the Penal Code.
