On August 3, 2019, a mass shooting occurred at a Walmart store in El Paso, Texas, USA, leaving at least 20 people dead.
According to reports, the shooter, a 21-year-old man, entered the store armed with an AK 47 rifle and opened fire on the crowd.
US President Donald Trump condemned the attack, saying, "Mauaji yaliyofanyika Paso, Texas, si ya kuvunja moyo tu mbali ni la waoga. Najua naungana na kila mmoja nchini humo kukemea kitendo hicho. Hakuna sababu ya kuwaua watu wasio na hatia yoyote. Melania pamoja nami tunatuma maombi yetu kwa watu wa Texas,"
Local authorities have launched an investigation into the incident, and the suspect is currently in custody.
