On Saturday, August 3, 2019, a road accident occurred at Ndengelwa area in Bungoma County, involving a vehicle carrying Kimilili Member of Parliament Didmus Barasa.
The Toyota Prado car, in which Barasa was traveling, lost control and veered off the road before rolling over several times, leaving two cyclists with serious injuries.
The two cyclists were rushed to Bungoma County Referral Hospital for emergency treatment, while Barasa and his driver, who were heading to a funeral ceremony at Ranje in Kanduyi constituency, escaped unscathed.
“Sad news Kimilili MP Hon. Didmus Barasa involved in a Road accident at Ndengelwa. The good news is no injuries and we are all safe and sound. God is good,” Barasa’s press team said in a statement.
