August 3, 2019 - The war between DP William Ruto's allies and Jubilee Secretary General Raphael Tuju has taken a new turn, with women MPs supporting the Deputy President escalating their attacks on Tuju.

Tharaka Nithi Women Representative Beatrice Nkatha led the charge, saying Tuju should return to the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) where his people belong. She claimed that every leader in Jubilee is contributing Sh10,000 each month to pay Tuju, but instead of working for the party, he is causing divisions.

Isiolo County Women Representative Rehema Jaldesa also weighed in, saying Tuju has been overpowered and is not fit to lead the party. She accused him of mismanaging party affairs and causing wrangles within Jubilee.

The women MPs are part of a group called Inua Mama, Jenga Taifa, which is rivaling Team Embrace, a group led by Public Service, Youth and Gender Affairs Chief Administrative Secretary Rachel Shebesh and former Nyeri County MP Priscilla Nyokabi.

"We are telling him that if he wants to join ODM, he should do it in time. That is where his people belong," Nkatha said.

"Tuju has been overpowered and he is not fit. We are telling him that Jubilee belongs to us, we are the shareholders and we are giving him notice to leave," Jaldesa added.
