On August 3, 2019, a Nairobi court adopted a consent signed by Ken Okoth's widow, Monica Okoth, and Anne Muthoni Thumbi, agreeing to a DNA test to confirm the paternity of Jayden Baraka Okoth.
However, the cremation ceremony of the late Kibra MP was performed in secret on Saturday, with the family posting a statement on Twitter confirming the process.
Lawyer Elkanah Mogaka, representing Anne Muthoni Thumbi, accused the family of disobeying the court order and vowed to take action on Monday.
Edwin Sifuna, the family's lawyer, claimed the event was a private affair and that Anne Thumbi had opted not to be part of it.
