On the cusp of its public launch, fintech startup Sparkle is generating buzz with its ambitious plans to transform the retail landscape in Nigeria.

Founded by Uzoma Dozie, the former Group Managing Director of Diamond Bank, Nigeria, Sparkle aims to provide a comprehensive suite of services to retailers and consumers, including current and savings accounts, inventory management, and foreign exchange services.

According to Dozie, the startup's vision is to bridge the gap between retailers and consumers, collecting data on consumer needs to bolster retail businesses in Nigeria.

Powered by AI and Machine Learning, Sparkle is building a dynamic community around Nigeria's retailers and consumers, influencing purchasing decisions based on user-generated behavioral purchase data.

As Dozie explained, 'Having spent more than 20 years building out the retail arm of Diamond Bank, it is clear that there is a significant gap in the market to incubate and roll out a new approach to services for retailers, and at scale; they need a financial & business services partner, not another finance platform.'

With its innovative approach, Sparkle aims to level the playing field for all Nigerians, democratizing access and helping SMEs create their own luck.
