On Saturday, August 3, 2019, a harrowing road accident nearly claimed the life of Kimilili MP Didmus Barasa.
The incident occurred at Ndengelwa area along the Malaba-Bumgoma-Webuye-Eldoret Highway.
According to reports, Barasa's Toyota Prado veered off the road and rolled several times due to overspeeding, leaving the lawmaker with minor injuries.
Fortunately, Barasa escaped the accident unscathed, and his press team released a statement expressing gratitude for their safety.
"Sad news Kimilili MP Hon. Didmus Barasa involved in a Road accident at Ndengelwa. The good news is no injuries and we are all safe and sound. God is good," the statement read.
