Ken Okoth's Mother, Angeline Ajwang', Skips Son's Cremation, Wants Him Buried in Homa Bay ¶

Ken Okoth's mother, Angeline Ajwang', has sparked controversy after skipping her son's cremation and instead wanting him buried in Homa Bay.
According to reports, Angeline was absent during the cremation ceremony of her son, Ken Okoth, at Kariokor on August 3, 2019.
Angeline cited that she was not present during the cremation ceremony as it went against the Luo community's customs and traditions.
However, her son's partner, Elvis Oluoch, has denied any involvement of their family members in the planning of Ken's cremation.
Elvis stated that his mother had not accepted the cremation of her son and instead wanted him buried in Homa Bay.
"We were told that Ken wanted his body to be cremated if he died in his bed. None of us in the family has seen the coffin. Since his death, we have been making arrangements to transport his body to Homa Bay for burial," Elvis said.
Elvis also stated that the family had planned to transport Ken's body to Homa Bay for burial but the plan was cancelled due to transportation challenges.
Edwin Sifuna, a lawyer representing Angeline, had earlier stated that Angeline had accepted the cremation of her son but later changed her mind and wanted him buried in Homa Bay.
Angeline's decision to skip her son's cremation and instead want him buried in Homa Bay has sparked controversy and raised questions about the family's intentions.
