Everton has made a significant addition to its squad with the signing of Jean-Philippe Gbamin, a 23-year-old midfielder from Mainz, for £25 million on August 2, 2019.
The Ivorian player has signed a contract until 2024 and is expected to provide the same screen and physical presence as Gueye did for the Toffees.
Gbamin expressed his excitement about joining Everton, stating, "It's a big moment and now it's on me to prove on the pitch why they bought me."
He also added, "I'm excited because Everton is a great club here in England with a big history and ambition so I didn't think for more than a moment - I wanted to come here."
Gbamin joins former Barcelona player Andre Gomes and Manchester City defender Fabian Delph, who both put pen to paper to join Marco Silva's squad.
Meanwhile, Juventus teenage sensation Moise Kean has been tipped to make a sensational move to Goodison Park after reportedly agreeing a £30m switch.
