On August 2, 2019, Kenya National Hospital (KNH) joined the world in celebrating World Twins Day with a special event.

The hospital hosted 24 sets of twins in a ceremony themed 'save a twin child, save a life.'

The event aimed to raise awareness about the importance of twins and to promote their welfare in society.

Moses Mutua, the chairman of The Identical Family (TIF), praised KNH for their support and generosity towards the organization.

"The Identical Family' (TIF) is a union of twins established to bring twins together in Kenya," Mutua said.

"We appreciate your support as much as you can, we need it. I also call upon the government to include twins in development projects," he added.

KNH's initiative is part of a larger campaign to promote the welfare of twins worldwide.

The organization visited the twins in the hospital's wards to celebrate with them and their parents, who were also honored for bringing them into the world and increasing the membership of TIF.
