Manchester United Secure £80m Deal for Leicester City's Harry Maguire

Manchester United have finally landed a deal with Leicester City for the transfer of Harry Maguire, a centre-back, for a reported £80m fee.

According to reports, Manchester United had initially offered £70m, but Leicester City rejected the bid. However, on Friday, August 2, Manchester United tabled an improved offer, which was finally accepted.

The deal will likely include add-on fees, making Harry Maguire the most expensive defender in the game, surpassing the £75m Liverpool paid for Virgil van Dijk.

Manchester United's manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, had hinted that time was no longer on their side to complete the deal, but they have managed to secure the signing of the England international.

Harry Maguire will become Manchester United's third summer signing, following the pair of Daniel James and Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

Manchester United's fans will be eager to see how Maguire will perform in the upcoming season, and whether he will be able to help the team achieve their goals.
