Published on August 3, 2019, the Ladies Coast Open 2019 Championships saw Tanzania pull off a surprise win at the par 71 Sea-link Mombasa course.
Tanzania's Hawa Wanyanche of Lugalo Golf Club took the top spot, carding a four-over-par 75 gross to claim the victory.
Wanyeche's winning performance was marked by three birdies at the par five fifth hole and two back-to-back birdies at the par four 11 and the shortest par three 12 hole.
"The course was tough with strong winds that affected our drives but I am happy to win the trophy," said Wanyeche.
Kenya's Serah Kanyeriri of Royal Nairobi Golf Club claimed the silver division trophy on 80 gross, while Kellie Gachaga of Muthaiga Club took the runners-up slot on 81 gross.
