Pogba's Madrid Move in Jeopardy as Real Madrid Agrees Deal for Van de Beek ¶
Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba's dream move to Real Madrid may be in jeopardy as the Spanish club has reportedly agreed a deal to sign Ajax's Donny van de Beek.
According to reports, Real Madrid has agreed to sign van de Beek from Ajax in a deal worth £60 million, with the midfielder set to sign a five or six-year contract with the Spanish club.
Journalist Marcelo Bechler claimed that Real Madrid and Ajax have already reached an agreement for the midfielder, and the move is on the brink of completion.
Bechler wrote: 'In Marca and AS, news of Real Madrid's interest in Ajax's Dutchman Van de Beek comes out. From what I have learned, things go further. There is already a proposal accepted by the Dutch club and player. Van de Beek should sign for five or six years in the next few days. Trading has been around for days.'
Real Madrid's attention to Van de Beek as a plan B to Pogba was revealed on Friday, August 2, but it is understood that manager Zinedine Zidane was against such a move.
Reports also claim Zidane is still working very hard to secure the services of the Manchester United playmaker.
Meanwhile, Manchester United fans are uncertain about what the future holds for the club after Paul Pogba announced he will be leaving this summer.
The Frenchman over the weekend finally put an end to his speculated move out of Old Trafford when he said he is looking for a new challenge.
