Kenyan music fans are abuzz with the latest news from Tanzania, where musician Juma Jux has opened up about his highly publicized breakup with Vanessa Mdee.
According to Jux, the split was a long time coming, with the two having grown apart due to his own insecurities and jealousy.
Speaking to Tanzanian media outlet B Dozen, Jux revealed that he had been feeling increasingly insecure about his relationship with Mdee, who he claimed had been posting provocative photos of herself online, including one with Nigerian musician Ice Prince.
"I was on tour when I saw the photo of her with Ice Prince. I felt embarrassed in front of my friends. I understood it was a job, but I couldn't handle it. She wanted to remove the photo from her page, but I stopped her and that's when the problems started. I told her to find another boyfriend and she said it was the same. I was very hurt by that," Jux said.
Despite his efforts to work through their issues, Jux claims that Mdee eventually ended their relationship, citing his possessiveness and jealousy as the main reasons.
Since the breakup, Jux has moved on and is reportedly dating a white woman, while Mdee has been linked to Nigerian musician Kizz Daniel, although this has not been confirmed.
