On the eve of this year's national examinations, Education Cabinet Secretary Prof George Magoha has issued a stern warning to those planning to engage in examination malpractices.
Speaking at Agenga Secondary School, which had its results cancelled last year over irregularities, Magoha said his ministry has mapped hotspots across the country to stem the vice.
He noted that cases of early exposure, impersonation, possession of unauthorized materials in some exam centers, and collusion were reported during last year's national examinations.
Magoha alleged that a cartel, headquartered in Rongo and operating from Kisii, Nyatike, Homa Bay, and surrounding areas, has been colluding with some school administrators to engage in malpractices.
The Kenya Certificate of Primary Education is set to kick off on October 28th and end on October 31st, while the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education will begin on November 4th and conclude on November 27th.
