Published on August 2, 2019, Dagoretti High School, the Nairobi region champions, secured a spot in the 2019 KSSSA Term Two football finals after defeating Central region champions Olbolosat 3-1 in the semi-finals.

The victory marked a significant milestone for the team, which will represent Kenya in the East Africa Games in Arusha later this month, regardless of the outcome in the finals.

The match began with a quick interplay between Dagoretti's wide players, setting up Paul Odhiambo for the opening goal. However, Olbolsat equalized two minutes later when Adan Rashid capitalized on confusion in the Dagoretti box.

Despite Olbolsat's series of attacks, Dagoretti's powerful center-back pairing of Marvin Ochieng and Simon Omondi thwarted their efforts, forcing a 2-1 halftime scoreline.

In the second half, Dagoretti maintained their high intensity, capped by a beautifully converted free-kick by Simon Omondi in the 68th minute. A late Olbolsat salvo on the Dagoretti goal was ultimately unsuccessful as the team held on to prevail.

Speaking to Citizen Digital after the game, Dagoretti coach James Makoha expressed confidence in his team's ability to win the finals, stating,
