On August 2, 2019, Dream Football Kenya, a joint initiative between Dream Football Portugal and co-owner Luis Figo, kicked off its biggest football scouting tournament in Meru County at Kaaga Primary School.

Organized by the Kenya Primary School Sports Association (KPSSA) under the Ministry of Education, the tournament brought together primary school children from across the country to compete in the football tournament.

The agency, which has a presence in five countries, aims to identify and nurture young football talent aged 4-16 years old through various initiatives, including school football activations, street football, football academies, and sports tournaments.

As the nutritional sponsors of the tournament, Blue Band, a leading manufacturer of spreads, is promoting the importance of a good breakfast among children, providing them with essential nutrients and energy to perform well in school and sports activities.

‘We are excited to be part of this fulfilling project that will see our talented stars rise, shine and represent us locally and even globally in the football space,' said Wanjiku Njonjo, Upfield Marketing Manager. ‘A good breakfast routine is essential for children to have the energy to participate in school activities and sports.'

Through its mobile application, the agency has already scouted over 75 children into various clubs in La Liga, partnering with renowned players like Ronaldinho Gaucho and Mario Balotelli, and clubs like Manchester United and Real Madrid.
