On August 1, 2019, Jamaican dancehall star Konshens tweeted about his interest in working with Kenyan artists, specifically music group Ethic Entertainment, on a remix of their song 'Figa.'
However, it seems Konshens is not done with Kenyan artistes yet. He is now looking for two Kenyan vocalists to join him as backup singers during his upcoming concert in Nairobi on September 7.
But that's not all - Konshens is also willing to work with the selected vocalists to produce and release a song for them.
"Singers in KENYA?? Like real vocalists? Think im gonna do a singers competition where 2 winners get to be my backing vocalists on my show the 7th and maybe get to perform solo too?? And maybe have me produce and release a song for them too," tweeted Konshens.
His tweet sparked a lot of interest and encouragement from Kenyans on Twitter, with many recommending talented singers they know.
Some even suggested that Konshens should start a twerking competition instead of a singing competition.
