On Thursday, police in Nakuru apprehended a suspect in connection with the murder of a Form Two student in Subukia Sub County.
The victim, Mary Wanjiru, was found strangled in Waseges Ward on Wednesday evening, and it is believed that she was murdered by her uncle.
According to area residents, the suspect was cornered by police at his house on Thursday night and reportedly confessed to the crime.
This is contrary to earlier suspicions that the girl might have been killed due to a love affair.
The suspect will be arraigned on Friday.
