On 14 August in Istanbul, a milestone will be achieved in the world of football when Stephanie Frappart leads a team of officials in the Super Cup match between Champions League winners Liverpool and Europa League holders Chelsea.
Frappart, who made headlines in July by refereeing the Women's World Cup final in Lyon, will become the first woman to officiate a major Uefa men's competitive match.
Uefa president Aleksander Ceferin expressed his delight at the appointment, saying it was a significant step forward for women in football.
