On Friday, Little, a taxi hailing app, announced its entry into the long distance commuter service market, aiming to disrupt the matatu industry.
The company has launched its Little LongHaul Shuttle service on the Nairobi to Nakuru route, with six return trips daily.
As part of its launch celebration, Little is offering free rides on the route from Friday to Sunday.
Commuters will pay a daily flat rate of Sh450 from Nairobi to Nakuru.
The company has also announced plans to introduce more routes in the future.
Little's entry into the long distance commuter market comes after it launched a bus service in Nairobi in February, allowing riders to book a seat and board at specific times.
On its Twitter page, Little expressed gratitude to its customers for their support, saying it was a 'beautiful and fulfilling morning' with the first riders of the Little LongHaul Shuttle.
Little's Nakuru route is already available on the app, with several pickup and drop-off zones.
