Willy Paul has now addressed the controversy surrounding the song, stating that he is neither Gospel nor secular, but rather a creative artiste expressing himself.
"Who says I quit gospel for secular? What God has put in me is beyond talent. I am a creative artiste, one day I could wake up and record a love song, the other a worship song," he said on 10 over 10.
When asked about the backlash, Willy Paul remained calm, saying, "I don't think I should comment on everything that gets said about me. Besides people are entitled to their opinions," he told Pulse.
He also hinted that there is more to the song than meets the eye, saying, "But sometimes it's good for people to take their time and find the motive of something before they comment. I don't think you have heard the end of that song. There is a lot more to come," he explained.
