On August 2, 2019, a video of five SGR hostesses went viral, showcasing their dance moves to the popular phrase 'Lamba Lolo'.
The video, which has been widely shared on social media, features the hostesses dancing and laughing together.
According to the video, the hostesses' leader asks, "Wasichana Wangu, mnafanya nini?" (Girls, what are you doing?)
The hostesses reply, "Tunalamba Lolo" (We are dancing Lolo).
The leader then asks, "Mnalamba Lolo aje hivyo?" (Why are you dancing Lolo like that?).
The phrase 'Lamba Lolo' is said to have been coined by DJ Brownskin, who explained that it is more of a slogan and a sound effect he uses in his DJ sets.
