On September 4, 2018, former ODM nominated senator Daisy Nyongesa gave birth to a baby boy, Prince Nabii Nabwera, in Nairobi Hospital.
Her husband, Nabii Nabwera, a politician, arranged for a Hummer Limousine to chauffeur their son home, where Nyongesa shared a glimpse of the grand entrance on social media.
She described the moment she held her newborn in her arms, saying, "When he was finally placed into my arms, I looked into his precious eyes and felt an overwhelming, unconditional love – I felt so complete and empowered in my life."
As a new mother, Nyongesa reflected on the significance of motherhood, saying, "You have earned me a new title, MOTHER. Until you have a baby, you don’t realize how much you were missing one."
Before becoming a mother, Nyongesa had shared her views on relationships and marriage, advising women to maintain proper hygiene and be cordial to their husbands.
She also suggested that women should be creative in the bedroom to spice up things, recommending massages and fragrances to get their partners in the mood.
