Kenya's Geothermal Energy Output Ranks Among World's Top 10

Published on August 1, 2019, a report by THINKGOENERGY revealed that Kenya has been ranked among the top 10 countries with the largest output of geothermal energy in the world.

With a geothermal energy output of 763MW, Kenya took the 8th position, leaving behind countries like Iceland (755MW) and Japan (549MW) which ranked 9th and 10th respectively.

According to the report, the United States topped the list with a record output of 3,653MW, followed by Indonesia (1,948MW), the Philippines (1,868MW), and Turkey (1,347MW).
